Kolhapur : All Hindu organisations along with various other organisations in Ichalkaranji have demanded permission to immerse Shri Ganesh idols in the Panchaganga River. On 22nd August Hindu Janajagruti Samiti (HJS) submitted a memorandum to the Government stating opposition to the Government’s schemes like ‘Artificial tank for immersing the Shri Ganesh Idols’ and ‘Donating Shri Ganesh idols’, Resident Deputy Collector in-charge Dattatray Kavitake accepted the memorandum. The Samiti had organised a Press Conference also in this regard recently. Devout Hindus Mr Sharad Mali, Mr Madhukar Nazare, Mr Shivanand Swami, Mr Pritam Pawar, Mr Aditya Shastri of HJS were part of this delegation.
