Need to curb the social menace of Valentine’s Day!

Ratnagiri: The Hindu Janajagruti Samiti (HJS), through a memorandum issues to the police, administration, schools and colleges, has demanded that this new social menace of Valentine’s Day should be curbed to ned the malpractices that occur on account of celebrating this ‘day’.

The memorandum states that over the last few years, it has been the custom to celebrate February 14 as Valentine’s Day in India. Today’s young generation is being dragged into the abyss of hedonism and immorality due to this perverted concept of love in India all as a part of marketing strategies. Girls are being molested and abused as a display of one-sided love during ‘Valentine’s Day’. This menace should be curbed.
