Govt. has deprived 1.5 lakh people of knowledge by banning HJS website ! : Mr. Sachin Pilankar, Internet Expert, Mumbai

Mr. Sachin Pilankar, recipient of many Government awards and who runs 4 websites providing knowledge of Marathi to millions of readers said, “There are 1,50,000 readers of the website of Hindu Janajagruti Samiti (HJS) which indicates that most invaluable knowledge was being provided on this website. The website, that was creating awareness amongst thousands of people and inculcating good values in them, was suddenly blocked. The Government has thus indirectly deprived 1, 50, 000 people of education. It takes nearly 10-15 years of hard work to create and propagate such website engaged in welfare activities for the society. If such websites are blocked without giving any prior notice, it is a kind of dictatorship. If the Government feels that some matter is objectionable, it is expected to, at least, make the concerned aware about the same; instead blocking the website of HJS and continuing the websites of those Muslim organisations, that caused riots, is like letting loose a criminal and punishing an innocent.

It is a monocracy ! – Yadavrao (Y. C.) Pawar, retired Police Officer Mr. Y. C. Pawar said, “It is the present Government policy of not taking into consideration what Hindus have to say although they may be telling the truth; therefore, the decision of the Central Government to suddenly block HJS website cannot be questioned as the present acts indicate monocratic rule of the Government. In fact, no thought was given to what was their stance nor was due consideration given to the website; therefore, justice can now be obtained only by going to Court.”

…….this is bullying by the Central Govt. ! : Mr. Y. P. Singh, former officer from Indian Police Service (IPS)

In Pakistan, communal or social rift is being created through the medium of websites. It is not possible for the Government to have control  over them, therefore, blocking of such websites would have been appropriate; but the website of HJS is totally Indian and the Government has control over it. If the Government had objection to something, it is in a position to take legal action. The Government could have taken action like issuing ‘show cause’ notice or conducting preliminary inquiry etc.  Instead directly blocking the website is autocracy of the Government. It is throttling of right to freedom of thought and it is completely wrong; even USA has drawn attention of Indian Government to this problem.

Ban on pro-Hindu activists’ websites is a sign of likely emergency ! : Mr. Ashokrao Telang, Metro Director, RSS, Sangli

In 1975, the then Congress Government adopted suppression policy and imposed emergency. This Congress Government is repeating the history by blocking pro-Hindu activists’ websites. This ban is a sign of forthcoming emergency. Pro-Hindu activists will have to be ready for their imprisonment. Congress seems to have forgotten the outcome of earlier emergency; even now, then Congress will have to face its after
effects. The above opinion was expressed by Mr. Ashokrao Telang, metro –director of RSS. He also took part in the drive going on against ban
on HJS website and has sent e-mails to many persons opposing the ban.

This is demoralisation of pro-Hindu activists ! : Mr. Shivajirao Adhalrao Patil, MP, Shiv Sena

We do not have proper solutions to stop cyber-crimes. These crimes are beyond our control. Imposing ban on the website of HJS is an effort to demoralise pro-Hindu activists. The Government is playing politics only to appease minorities. We strongly condemn this ban and will raise the issue in Parliamentary session.
