#SaveParolaFort trends as Hindus protest against pitiable condition of the Parola Fort

Our forts have historical importance. They are not just mere structures, but they are the monuments which should be preserved and taken care of as they tell us how glorious our past was. One such fort is situated at Parola in District Jalgaon, Maharashtra. This fort is from Peshwai era, but today it is in ruins and its condition is worsening day-bay-day.

Hindus took to Twitter to speak out against pitiable condition of Parola Fort. Netizens urged Maharashtra Govt. and Union Govt. to take proper care of the fort and to take action against those who are responsible for such a sorry state of the fort. Hindus were tweeting with hashtag #SaveParolaFort and more than 50,000 tweets were tweeted with the said hashtag. Soon this became one of the top 10 national trend on Twitter in India and it was on 2nd spot for brief period of time.
