TMC removes board put up by HJS explaining science behind immersion of Sri Ganesh idols

Thane (Maharashtra) : Hindu Janajagruti Samiti (HJS) had put up a board in ‘Talaopali’ area explaining science behind immersion of Sri Ganesh idol. Encroachment Department of Thane Municipal Corporation (TMC), however, raised objection and removed the said board. Hindus are wondering that when necessary permission was taken from TMC, why the Encroachment Department should exhibit so much hatred towards this board. (Would TMC dare to remove a board put up by Muslims related to their religious matter? – Editor SP) HJS undertakes various campaigns with the objective of educating people on ‘Dharma-shastra’ so that more and more Hindus start abiding by Dharma. Presently, during the Ganesh Festival, a drive to celebrate the festival in ideal manner has been undertaken by HJS. A board explaining spiritual benefits of immersion of Sri Ganesh idols in flowing water was put up by HJS in ‘Talaopali’ area. Today, while immersion of idols was going on, Encroachment Department of TMC removed this ‘flex’ board. Sentences like ‘Do not donate idols as it is against the science’ and a picture about what remedial action was proposed to be taken on pollution caused by factories’ etc. were printed on the board.
