Miraj (Maharashtra): A representation was submitted on behalf of Hindu Janajagruti Samiti (HJS) to prevent denigration of Sri Ganesh during Ganesh Festival as also demanding to stop interference  of Andha-shraddha Samiti (ANiS) giving un-scientific advice to devotees against immersing of Sri Ganesh idols in flowing water. The representation was submitted to the Municipal Administration today and was accepted by Mr. Ramseh Waghmare, the tax superintendent. Mr. Shrikant Edake, the city-President of BJP, members of business community like Mr. Tanaji Gharge, Mr. Tatya Karade, Basawant Bhoravat, Dilip Naik, Shashikant Naik, Appa Naik, Rangrao Devkare, Sandeep Gokhale, Vijay Chougule and members of HJS viz. Mr. Girish Pujari, Mahadev Jadhav and Manoj Gawali were present on the occasion.

Palus – Similar representation was submitted to Mr. Shivaji Shinde, Tehsildar and Police Inspector Mr. Lakshman Jadhav in the presence of HJS members Mr. Bheemrao Khot, Sayajirao Jamadade, Shivajirao Barge and representative of business community Mr. Anil Rawal.

Sangli – Mr. Dattatreya Retharekar of HJS submitted the above representation to the municipal corporation and primary and secondary education officers of Zilha Parishad.  

Ishwarpur – Advocate (Mrs.) Bharati Jain, Mrs. Rohini Pethkar, Mrs. Alaka Babar, Mr. Rajaram More, Mr. Santosh Kumbhar etc. of HJS were present while the representation was submitted to Tehsildar Mr. Vivek Jadhav. 

Karad (Dist. Satara) – Acting Tehsildar Mrs. Rama Joshi and the Chief Officer of Municipality were submitted a representation by HJS when Mr. Hanamant Kadam, Lakshman Pawar, Parkhe, Gurav, Raghunath Mali, Sambhaji Jagatap, Mrs. Vaishali Patil, Mrs. Kanase, Mrs. Chavan, Mrs. Suryavanshi, Mrs. Gaikwad of HJS and other pro-Hindu activists were present.
