Convention of public Ganesh festival committees held by HJS at Thane

Ganesh festival committees resolve to celebrate the festival in ideal manner !

Thane : Nature of celebrating Ganesh festival has been changing every year and sanctity of the festival is getting diminished. It is also causing harm to Dharma while sending wrong message to people. We should therefore, celebrate Ganesh festival in ideal manner and seek grace of Lord Ganesh, was the appeal made by Shri. Satish Kocharekar, spokesperson of HJS. Participating office bearers of festival committees agreed to his views and made a resolve to celebrate Ganesh festival in ideal manner. Convention of public festival committees was held on 18th August by HJS at Scout Guide Hall near Gaondevi Maidan at 5.00 p.m. which was attended by office bearers of ‘Shiva Prerana Mitra Mandal’, ‘Vighnaharta Mitra Mandal’, ‘Eklavya Mitra Mandal’ and ‘Shri Ashtavinayak Mitra Mandal’.

Shri. Satish Kocharekar said that

For keeping awake at night in the marquee erected for festival, people are seen gambling; competitions of singing and dancing on film songs are held; ‘aarti’ is sung in very harsh and loud manner; people dance on the music played by DJs making weird body movements which are all different kind of malpractices. Instead, we can put up flex-boards on ‘Dharmashikshan’ to avoid such things. Chanting of Shri Ganesh’s name can be played on loudspeakers; ‘aarti’ may be sung with proper tune, lectures may be held explaining importance of Ganapati as per science; information may be given on our revolutionaries; procession of Shri Ganesh may be taken out in ideal manner; playing chimes. By making efforts in this manner, we can acquire grace of Shri Ganesh.
