Positive response from citizens to HJS’ drive on maintaining honour of national flags and on ‘Surajya (Good governance)’ at Mumbai and Yavatmal

Shri. Sunil Thakur of HJS addressed the residents of a colony in Jogeshwari

Mumbai : On 26th January, Hindu Janajagruti Samiti (HJS) undertook a drive for prevention of abuse of national flags; taking place through use of plastic flags, making of clothes in flag’s colours or cakes baked in tri-colour etc. Such drive was undertaken at Dahisar, Borivali, Mira Road and Andheri; at Bhandup, Parel, Jogeshwari, Girgaum; at Nalasopara in Palghar district. So many freedom-fighters and revolutionaries had sacrificed their life for honour of the flag and efforts should be made for establishing good governance as expected by those revolutionaries and for prevention of insult of national flags, was the appeal made by HJS.

Shri. Pravin Patil of HJS spoke about maintaining honour of national flags during a program held on the occasion of ‘Satyanarayan puja’, at Bank of Baroda colony at Bhandup.

HJS activists explained the subject to a shopkeeper in Parel after which he removed T-shirts in tri-colours kept for sale. A complaint was lodged at one place against seller of plastic flags. Police stopped sale of such flags at 2 places.

Nalasopara (Palghar) : At Bhandar Lane and Sai Jeevadani Complex, Shri. Narendra Surve of HJS was invited in flag-hoisting program wherein he gave information on flag and spoke about prevailing anarchic condition in this country, persecution of Hindus in the name of secularism and solutions to such problems.
