60,000 devotees have ‘darshan’ of ancient ‘Akshayavat’ in just 2 days at Prayagraj

Devotees will not be able to have ‘darshan’ of ‘Akshayavat’ on the days of ‘Rajyogi’ holy bath !

Prayagraj : Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath had recently allowed devotees to have ‘darshan’ of ancient and spiritually significant holy ‘Akshayavat’ at Prayag. For 450 years, devotees were deprived of ‘darshan’ of this holy banyan tree. 60,000 devotees had ‘darshan’ of this ‘Akshayavat’ in last two days. Devotees are going for ‘darshan’ of this holy banyan tree from 6.00 a.m. to 5.30 p.m. even then, on the day of ‘Rajyogi snan’ during ‘Kumbh-Mela’, such ‘darshan’ will not be allowed since the local administration has taken a decision to that effect based on a report of ‘Motilal Nehru Rashtriya Praudyogiki Sanstha’.

The dates of ‘Raj-yogi Snan’ are 15th and 21st January, 10th and 19th February and 4th March. There will be huge rush of devotees on these days; therefore, ‘darshan’ of ‘Akshayavat’ will be not allowed. A new road has been built near the old fort and the said ‘Sanstha’ has advised that there shouldn’t be too much of crowd on that road, which has led to taking of such decision.
