TOI removes from its website, a picture showing chameleon in place of ‘shendi’

Withdrawal of such picture is not enough but Times of India (TOI)) should render apology to Hindus with a promise to avoid such insults in future !

New Delhi : In its issue dated 3rd July 2018, Times of India (TOI) had published an article written by Neeraja Chaudhari. In this article, there was a caricature of Bihar Chief Minister, Nitish Kumar; depicting him as a priest and in place of his ‘shendi (strand of hair on head), a picture of chameleon was drawn. This has hurt religious sentiments of Hindus. Hindus therefore, registered their protest. TOI has since withdrawn the picture, after Hindus’ protests. Hindu Janajagruti Samiti had made an appeal to Hindus to fight against the issue, in lawful manner.
