Ban ‘burqa’ under law ! – Shiv Sena Chief

Mumbai: If the ‘burqa’ is going to be used for stealing children, such ‘burqas’ should be banned under law. Sachhar Commission has been set up for welfare of Muslims allocating 65000 crores of rupees. Is it to keep Muslim women in ‘burqa’? Many countries have done away with use of ‘burqas’. If in Muslim countries, ‘Islam’ takes no objection, how only in India, there should  objection? The above query has been raised by Shiv Sena Chief Shri. Balasaheb Thackeray through the ‘Editorial’ of ‘Dainik Saamna’.

It has been further stated in the editorial that, “Kemal Pasha of Turkisthan had a doubt when in a confidential meeting, some persons with ‘burqa’ were present. He asked his security guards to remove their veils and it turned out that those were enemy spies and not women in the ‘burqas’. Kemal Pasha immediately issued an order banning ‘burqa’ in Turkisthan. It is a Muslim country. Kemal Pasha is also a Muslim. Nobody talked about Islam there, why then there is objection only in Hindustan? The wrong activities taking place behind these ‘burqas’ are quite serious. In France, the President Sarkozi has taken revolutionary step by banning use of ‘burqa’. Will Islam accept use of ‘burqas’ for stealing children? This is against Islam. The Muslim Organisations and leaders should now come forward and undertake a drive to ban ‘burqas’. How to keep a check on what is hidden under the ‘burqas’? At the time of election, many persons stand in a queue for casting their votes in the areas like Nagpada, Paydhuni, Bhendibazar etc. How to verify whether they are true voters or fake, whether they are women or men? If police decide to verify they will have to remove the ‘burqas’. It will, therefore, be better if order is issued banning ‘burqas’. ‘Burqa’ is a sign of slavery of Muslim women. On one hand, the Government plans various schemes for making women self-sufficient and on the other hand, women are kept in ‘burqas’. Punish the child stealer with death sentence and ban ‘burqas’.
