Lessons on Mughals removed from history text books of Maharashtra Education Board

More emphasis on history of Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj omitting references to architecture of Mughals !

The then Congress Government had included false and anti-Hindu history glorifying Mughals. True history therefore, was never brought forth. It is quite commendable that BJP Government has removed the false history. Hindus, therefore, expect that persons from earlier Government, who were responsible for suppressing true history so far, should be stringently punished and BJP Government should try to expose truth of brutal persecution by Mughals of Hindus ! – Editor, Dainik Sanatan Prabhat

Mumbai : History related to Mughals has been removed from text books of Maharashtra State Education Board for 7thand 9th standards. The history related to Mughals has been removed and modern history has been included after a meeting was held by Education Minister Vinod Tawade at Rambhau Mhalgi Prabodhini. (NCERT has totally excluded the history related to bravery shown by Marathas. It is expected that such history would also be included now ! – Editor, Dainik Sanatan Prabhat)

1. References of Mughal regimes and other pre-Mughal Muslim rulers like Razia Sultan, Mohammad Bin Tughlaq and Shershah Suri etc has been omitted from the new curriculum.

2. References of Mughal rulers creating structures like Tajmahal, Qutub Minar and Red Fort etc have also been excluded.

3. More emphasis has been given in the new curriculum on history related to establishment of ‘Hindavi Swaraj’ by Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj. (History of Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj is the true history of Maharashtra and more emphasis on the same was needed. 4. In the text book for 9th standard, there is reference of Bofors scam and emergency.

History glorifying Akbar has been removed !

In this book, information on Akbar has been given in 3 lines. (In NCERT’s text books, history of Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj has been given in 4 lines. – Editor, Dainik Sanatan Prabhat) In earlier text book, there was reference glorifying Akbar which has now been removed so also reference of Afghani invaders starting use of rupee as currency.

The above information was given by Shri. Bapusaheb Shinde, a member of earlier text book research committee. Minister Tawade has not given any reaction on the same.
