The only country in the world which allows tension to mount in anticipation of a court verdict

Ratnagiri (Maharashtra): Allahabad High Court is likely to pass its verdict in case of ‘Ram-janma-bhoomi’ on 24th September 2010. This can create law and order problem in the country. The Government has, therefore, issued notices to 6 activists of Hindu Janajagruti Samiti (HJS) in this context. (Rather than rioting Muslims, the direction-less police issue notice to HJS activists who are engaged in creating awareness towards Dharma in lawful manner ! – Editor SP) Under clause 149 of the Criminal Procedure Code, these notices have been issued by the local police station.

It has been mentioned in the notice that with respect to the verdict and during the period of ban order, if law and order problem is created and any untoward incident takes place, you will be held responsible for the same and legal action will be taken against you and your associates. (This is a plot of the police to put blame of likely untoward incident on HJS activists! – Editor SP)

Interrogation of a HJS activist from one district in the background of ‘Ram-janma-bhoomi’ verdict

Two activists of HJS were contacted over phone by officers of crime investigation department and they were asked a few questions in the background of ‘Ram-janma-bhoomi’ verdict.

Police officer (PO): There are many places of worship of followers of other religions in your area. What do you think will be the effect of the verdict in the city?

Activist (A): Let us see after the verdict.

PO: What if the verdict is against?

A: Sir, why do you think that the verdict would be against? It is said that truth always prevails in the Court and our side is of the truth, therefore, right verdict will be passed. Why you did not ask that ‘what if the verdict is passed in favour of Hindus?’

PO: Nothing like that. I just called up to find out how is the atmosphere over there? We cannot talk over phone in detail; therefore, we will talk when we meet in person.

Similar call was made to another activist of HJS and the following conversation took place:

PO: The verdict will be passed on 24th September. Are the pro-Hindu organizations planning to come together and do something? Have there been meetings? What do you think about the verdict?

A: I have come to another place now; therefore, I have not met anyone for the last 8-10 days. Since there has been no contact, no discussion could take place.

PO: OK, we’ll meet on your return.

Instead of terrorists, police make inquiry of devout and nationalist Hindus. Had they made such inquiry of terrorists, this country would have been free of terrorism ! – Editor SP
