Lions Club renders apology after Hindus oppose to insult of Bajirao Peshve

Congratulations to organizations uniting against insult of great national leaders ! Nobody will dare to insult our great national leaders in this manner if opposed with unity !

Pune : Lions Club’s ‘Prantpal (District Governor)’ Girish Malpani was to be felicitated on 15th July with the title of ‘Peshava Bajirao’. It was decided by Akhil Bharatiya Brahman Mahasangh, Creative Foundation and other organizations to oppose to such felicitation when Lions Club rendered apology for the mistake.

1. On invitation card of the above program, District Governor’s photo was printed in attire of Shrimant Bajirao Peshve. On observing the card, ‘Hindutvavadi’ organizations decided to stage demonstrations in protest and spread the message through different social websites.

2. Lions’ Club’s former District Governor Raj Muchhal had discussions with Foundation’s Shri. Sandip Khardekar and Mahasangh’s executive President, Shri. Vishwajeet Deshpande and said that it happened due to over-enthusiasm and inadvertently. There was no intention of insulting Shrimant Bajirao Peshve who is revered for his great work. A letter was also given in writing seeking apology in case sentiments were hurt due to the matter written on invitation card. Therefore, demonstrations were cancelled.

3. Shri. Khardekar and Shri. Deshpande made an appeal that insult of none of the great national leaders would be tolerated even in future.
