New Delhi: In a reprieve for painter M F Husain, the Delhi High Court on Thursday quashed criminal proceedings against the artist for allegedly hurting public sentiments by painting obscene pictures of Hindu goddesses.
Mumbai (Maharashtra): Yesterday BJP's leader Shri. Gopinath Munde had raised the issue of nude pictures of Hindu Deities drawn by Husain and demanded his immediate arrest.

New Delhi: The Supreme Court on Monday transferred a criminal case pending against noted artist M F Hussain for allegedly hurting the religious sentiments of Hindus with his controversial paintings from a court in Maharashtra to Delhi.
London: Husain says the figure of 99 was chosen because of the 99 names of God in Islam. "Some of the works are small and some are big, but together they highlight what Arab civilisation has given to mankind," he said.
