‘How Maharashtra ministers will pass Anti Faith Bill?’

Falgun Shuddha Dashami

Solapur (Maharashtra): “Every minister, including the Chief Minister, is a devotee of some ‘Baba’ or the other. It is, therefore, beyond hope that the anti-Superstitions Bill would ever be passed. (This statement of Aadaam confirms that the Act will be against all saints, whether real or not. All devout Hindus should therefore, unite against passing of the said Act! – Editor). Agitation by people is the only remedy to this problem.” The above statement was made by MLA, Narasayya Aadaam when he was talking to the media persons. (The Government has not been able to pass the controversial Act only due to severe opposition by leaders of Hindu political parties, saints belonging to different Sects, devotees, warakaris and opposition by pro-Hindu organizations like Hindu Janajagruti Samiti (HJS). Shri. Aadaam should take note of the said fact! – Editor)

Members of Maharashtra Andha-shraddha Nirmulan Samiti (MANS) have started a new drive of writing letters to the chief minister with their own blood and Aadaam was one of the main participants. He said further, “Uneducated workers fall prey to superstitions, magic, quackery etc. and are exploited. The Act needs to be passed to save them from such exploitation. (Existing laws are adequate to take care of such exploitation and there is no need to pass a new Act for the same. The above opinion has been given by many legal experts. Does Aadaam feel that he knows better than these legal experts? – Editor) I discussed the issue with Shri. Chandrakant Handore, Minister for Social Justice along with other organizations having same outlook; but he is also procrastinating in the matter.” (When legal experts are of the view that the proposed Act has been drafted without proper study and has many flaws, what is wrong of the Government is taking time to take action? – Editor)
