If we see the distance between Ujjain’s Mahakaleshwar to the famous Somnath’s Jyotirlinga, it will be observed that it is at a distance of 777 kms; Omkareshwar is at 111 kms from Ujjain; Bheemashankar at 666 kms; Kashi Vishwanath at 999 kms; Mallikarjuna at 1000 kms; Kedarnath at 888 kms; Trimbakeshwar at 555 kms, Vaijnath 1000 kms; Rameshwar 2000 kms; Audha Nagnath (Hingoli, Maharashtra) at 555 kms and Ghrushneshwar is 555 kms. Owing, however, to construction of latest new roads and by-pass roads, these distances have undergone slight changes and they are – Mallikarjuna is 1090 kms from Ujjain; Kedarnath 902 kms; Trimbakeshwar 503 kms; Aundha Nagnath 533 kms, Rameshwaram 2091 kms; Ghrushneshwar 524 kms and Omkareshwar 113 kms. from Ujjain.
