Panhala administration orders strict measures to prevent disrespect to the National Flag

Success of the ‘Respect the National Flag’ campaign in Panhala Taluka

Panhala (District Kolhapur), Maharashtra – On the occasion of Independence Day, a memorandum was submitted to the Sub-Divisional Officer of Panhala by Hindu Janajagruti Samiti to prevent the dishonour and insult of the National Flag. 

Taking cognisance of this memorandum, Panhala Sub-Divisional Officer Samir Shinagte, citing the representations submitted by Hindu Janajagruti Samiti and Mr Anandrao Kashid, sent letters to the Sub-Divisional Police Officer (SDPO), Tehsildar, Block Development Officer (BDO), and all other concerned administrative authorities.

In this official letter, directives have been given stating: ‘Take appropriate action to prevent the insult and dishonour of the National Flag on the occasion of Independence Day.’

Alongside this, Panhala Block Education Officer (BEO) Shivaji Mankar also took cognisance of the Samiti’s memorandum and sent an official communication to the headmasters of all schools across Panhala Taluka. In this, instructions were issued stating: ‘Extend necessary cooperation to the public awareness campaign being carried out by Hindu Janajagruti Samiti.’ 

This positive response received from the administration towards the campaign initiated by Hindu Janajagruti Samiti to uphold the respect and dignity of the National Flag is quite significant.
