Satara, Maharashtra – Hindu Surya Maharana Pratap was truly a Dharmaveer. The contemporary kings of that era had accepted subjugation to Akbar, but Maharana Pratap made no compromise of any kind and sacrificed his life for Dev, Desh, and Dharma (God, Nation and Dharma). Considering personal comfort as worthless, he preferred to live with self-respect in the jungle. We, too, should be prepared to protect our Nation and Dharma in the same manner as Maharana Pratap, appealed Smt. Bhakti Dafle of the Hindu Janajagruti Samiti. She was speaking at a public meeting organised on the occasion of Hindu Surya Maharana Pratap Jayanti at Basappa Peth here.

On this occasion, dignitaries present on the stage included Advocate Dattatray Sanas, Maharashtra State President of Akhil Bharatiya Hindu Mahasabha, and Sanjay Pardeshi of the ‘Shri Maharana Pratap Jayanti Utsav Samiti’, among others.
Smt. Dafle further said, “Women were unsafe even in the past. The glorious history of Chittorgarh and Rani Padmini comes to mind. To ensure that the cruel Alauddin Khilji did not touch her body, Rani Padmini performed ‘jauhar’ along with 16,000 women. Today, due to the lack of religious education, our daughters are falling prey to the deception of ‘love jihad’ and the conspiracies of so-called love by religious fanatics. Later, they are married and forcibly converted. We see not one but many such examples. If we are to be saved from these circumstances, it is extremely essential to acquire Dharmashikshan and become organised.”
