Grand ‘Sakal Hindu Sammelan’ held in Vengurla to strengthen Hindu unity

Hindus gather to pledge commitment to Dharma, Rashtra and society

Vengurla, Maharashtra – With the objective of creating unity, organisation, and awakening Dharma within Hindu society, a grand ‘Sakal Hindu Sammelan’ was organised by the Sakal Hindu Samaj on the evening of 21 June at the Utsav Mangal Karyalaya in Tulas. Through this convention, an appeal was made to all Hindus to unite for Dharma, and make a resolve towards Hindu unity, patriotism, and social commitment.

The Sammelan was inaugurated by the veteran Kirtankar Shri. Subodh Marathe, who lit the ceremonial lamp and worshipped the portrait of Bharat Mata. Present on the dais on this occasion were Ganesh Govind alias Raju Joshiguruji, Amit Gopal Naik, Nitin Lingoji, and the Goa State Coordinator of the Hindu Janajagruti Samiti, Satyavijay Naik. At the commencement of the Sammelan outside the hall, Shri. Anand Tandel, an entrepreneur from Tulas, along with his wife, performed Gomata Pujan (worship of the cow). This Sammelan was jointly organised through the initiative of Hindu brothers from the villages of Tulas, Pal, Ansur, Pendur, Matond, Hodawada, and Vajarat. A demonstration of weapons from the era of Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj shown during the event created great enthusiasm among the attendees. 

Speaking on the occasion, Shri. Ganesh Govind alias Raju Joshiguruji said, “The practice of Hindu Dharma must begin from our own homes. We should conduct ourselves according to the teachings given to us by the saints.”

Veteran Kirtankar Shri. Subodh Marathe and Shri. Amit Naik also provided guidance. The programme was compered by Prof. Sachin Parulkar, while the introductory remarks were delivered by Shri. Nitin Lingoji.

The programme was attended by a large number of Hindus, including Vengurla Taluka Sanghachalak Baburao Khavanekar, BJP District Vice President Prasanna alias Balu Desai, Panchayat Samiti Chairman Shankar Ghare, District Council (Zilla Parishad) Member Sujata Padwal, Tulas Deputy Sarpanch Sachin Naik, Matond Sarpanch Mayuri Wadachepatkar, Pal Sarpanch Kaveri Gawade, Ansur Sarpanch Satyavijay Gawade, Vajarat Sarpanch Ananya Puranik, and Hodawada Deputy Sarpanch Rajba Sawant.

On this occasion, Shri. Satyavijay Naik said, “It is the responsibility of every Hindu to preserve our culture, traditions, language, festivals, and religious values. If Hindu society is united, the nation will remain more capable and secure. Our saints have always given the message of unity to society. Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj established Swarajya and protected Dharma, culture, and self-respect. Taking inspiration from his deeds, we too must continue to work for the welfare of society.”
