Representatives from over 160 Hindu organisations unite for the Hindu Rashtra Adhiveshan in Gorakhpur

  • Organised by the Gorakhpur Adhiveshan Organising Committee and the Hindu Janajagruti Samiti

  • Demand to pass nationwide laws against love jihad and corporate jihad

Gorakhpur, Uttar Pradesh – With the aim of establishing coordination among Hindu organisations, uniting them, and building a Hindu ecosystem, a Hindu Rashtra Adhiveshan (Convention) was grandly organised here at the Madhur Shehnai Auditorium in Rustampur. Organised by the Gorakhpur Adhiveshan Organising Committee and the Hindu Janajagruti Samiti, the Adhievshan saw the participation of representatives from over 160 Hindu organisations in the district, along with advocates, intellectuals, and prominent personalities from various fields.

Whether it is Holi or Bakri Eid, the number of attacks on Hindus is increasing day by day. Therefore, the Hindu society must become self-reliant for its own defence. For this reason, it was decided to launch the ‘Har Ghar Yoddha’ (A Warrior in Every Home) campaign and organise free self-defence training camps. It was also resolved to connect with new Hindu organisations through a Hindu Rashtra Sampark Abhiyan, run a reach-out programme for temple trustees to unite temples, and strengthen local Hindu organisations.

Several resolutions in the interest of Hindus were passed at the Adhiveshan, including removing the word ‘secular’ from the Constitution, urging the Central Government to pass nationwide laws against cow slaughter and forced conversions, and repealing the government takeover of all temples across the nation and handing them back to the devotees. The Adhiveshan brainstormed on various topics, such as the necessity of a Hindu Rashtra, countering corporate jihad and love jihad, refuting anti-Hindu narratives, misuse of and reforms needed in constitutional secularism, the campaign to free temples from government control, organising advocate networks, and how to increase spiritual strength through worship.

To counter the ecosystem of individuals with anti-India ideologies, an organisation of pro-Hindu and patriotic advocates is essential. Consequently, it was decided to host advocate conferences and seminars in Gorakhpur. It was also resolved to provide necessary legal training to Hindu organisations to empower them for their work towards Dharma.

Exhibition and organisational participation

An exhibition of posters related to Dharmashikshan (education on Dharma), as well as books on Dharma, spirituality, Ayurveda, and national defence, set up at the Adhiveshan, received an excellent response.

Advocate Sheshnarayan Pandey, Advocate Lakshmi Shankar Shukla, Advocate Shailendra Bahadur Singh, Advocate Ashutosh Pandey, and several other activists contributed significantly to the successful organisation of the Adhiveshan.
