Trustees from 19 temple trusts participate in meetings held in Sawarde and Sarand, Ratnagiri

Ratnagiri, Maharashtra – The state-level convention of the Maharashtra Mandir Mahasangh, which is actively working to protect and preserve temple culture, is scheduled to take place in Satara in March. A meeting of temple trustees from the Sawarde and Sarand (Makhajan) divisions was held to provide information about this convention and the successes being achieved by the Mandir Mahasangh’s efforts. During the meeting, the temple trustees expressed their firm resolve to install dress code (vastra-sanhita) boards in temples as part of safeguarding their sanctity and purity.
The meeting was attended by Shri. Sanjay Joshi, State Organiser of the Maharashtra Mandir Mahasangh, and Shri. Suresh Shinde, District Organiser.
19 temple trusts represented by 35 trustees
The meetings were held at the Shri Bhavani Mandir in Sawarde and the Shri Ganpati Mandir in Sarand (Makhajan). Among those present were Shri. Parsharam Dalvi, head of Kokare Devasthan; Shri. Deepak Shirke of Abitgaon Devasthan; Shri. Surendra Surve of Nivali Devasthan; Shri. Nandu Vichare of Talavade Devasthan; Shri. Anil More of Mavalange; Shri. Ravikant Shinde of Shinde Amberi; Shri. Prakash Ponkshe of Ambav Ponkshe; Shri. Sanjay Sahasrabuddhe of Burambad; and Shri. Nitin Sagvekar of Makhjan, along with 35 temple trustees representing 19 Devasthans.

Special participation by representatives of the temple trusts
Shri. Suresh Shinde shared information on initiatives being implemented in temples — including dress codes, collective aarti, and the aim of developing temples into centres for Dharma education. Temple trustees who took special initiative in organising the meetings included Shri. Pradeep Chavan of Savarde Devasthan, Shri. Vishal Parkar of Kutre Devasthan, Shri. Rajesh Lad of Dhakamoli Devasthan, and Shri. Deepak Kadam of Vareli Devasthan.
