Kedarnath, Uttarakhand – Entry for non-Hindus will be prohibited in the Badrinath and Kedarnath shrines, as well as all temples falling under the jurisdiction of the Temple Committee. This information was shared by Hemant Dwivedi, senior BJP leader & Chairman of the Badrinath-Kedarnath Temple Committee, who stated that an official resolution to this effect will be passed in the committee’s upcoming board meeting.
He also commended the ongoing action taken under the guidance of Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami to remove illegal Muslim mazaars.
Dwivedi stated that protecting the religious and cultural traditions of Devbhoomi Uttarakhand is the supreme priority. Traditionally, the entry of non-Hindus has been prohibited across the chain of temples established from Kedar Khand to Manas Khand; however, these traditions continued to be violated during periods when the BJP was not in government. Therefore, formal steps will be taken to ensure the systematic observance of these traditions.
