Buldhana, Maharashtra – In the run-up to Republic Day, a large-scale campaign was undertaken across Buldhana district by the Hindu Janajagruti Samiti to prevent desecration of the national flag and to uphold the honour of the Tricolour. Memoranda were submitted to administrative officials and the police administration in Chikhli and Malkapur, as well as to schools and colleges, strongly demanding strict measures to prevent any disrespect to the national flag.
In Chikhli, a delegation of HJS submitted a memorandum and held discussions with Tehsildar Vijay Savde and Senior Police Inspector Mr. Bhushan Gavande.
A similar memorandum was submitted in Malkapur to Police Inspector Bhopale and the Tehsildar of Malkapur by a delegation of HJS and other patriotic citizens.
