Ayodhya, Uttar Pradesh – In a breach of security at the Shri Ram Janmabhoomi Temple in Ayodhya, a Kashmiri Muslim man entered the premises of the temple on 10 January and attempted to offer namaz. He also raised slogans of “Allahu Akbar” during the incident.
The individual has been identified as Abu Ahmed Sheikh, a resident of Shopian in Kashmir.
According to eyewitnesses, the man, dressed in Kashmiri attire, entered the temple complex through the ‘D1’ entry gate and was seen behaving suspiciously. He later sat down to offer namaz near the Sita Rasoi area of the temple. On noticing his actions, security personnel intervened immediately, following which he raised slogans of “Allahu Akbar”.
The detained individual is being questioned to ascertain his intent. As of now, no official statement has been issued by the police, the district administration, or the Shri Ram Temple Teerth Kshetra Trust regarding the incident.
