Hindu Ekta Andolan demands action against madrasas spreading radicalisation

In the backdrop of the Delhi bomb blast, a demand to ban madrasas that create terrorists.

Sangli (Maharashtra): On 10 November, a bomb blast carried out by national jihadi elements near the Red Fort in Delhi claimed the lives of 13 innocent citizens. The notorious terrorist organisation T.R.F. (The Resistance Front), considered a major front of Lashkar-e-Taiba, has claimed responsibility for the attack. It has been reported that Dr Muzammil, Dr Adil, Dr Umar Nabi and Dr Shaheen were involved in the conspiracy.

In this context, alleging that radical teachings are imparted in illegal madrasas across the country, Hindu Ekta Andolan held a protest demonstration at Station Road in Sangli, demanding a ban on such institutions and an inquiry into the nature of education imparted there. The protest was led by the organisation’s State President and former MLA Shri. Nitin Shinde.

Those present included Sangli District President Shri. Sanjay Jadhav, as well as Raosaheb Khojage, Manoj Salunkhe, Somnath Gotkhinde, Raju Jadhav, Ravindra Vadavane, Prakash Chavan and other office-bearers.

Shri. Nitin Shinde, while addressing the gathering, stated that along with the Delhi blast, jihadi forces had planned explosions at 33 locations across the country. Further, there was a plot to carry out a mass killing of more than 10 lakh Hindus using toxic substances. He remarked that all of the arrested jihadis have been educated in Indian madrasas. Therefore, he said, a nationwide systematic ‘combing operation’ must be conducted to crush terrorism at its roots.
