Panaji, Goa — The Ranragini Wing of Hindu Janajagruti Samiti has urged North Goa Superintendent of Police, Shri. Harish Madkaikar, to immediately ban an ‘app’ that is defaming Goan women by advertising ‘chat with Goan girls for just ₹1’. The Ranragini delegation consisted of Mrs. Rajashree Gadekar, Mrs. Shubha Sawant, Mrs. Mohana Naik, Mrs. Rasika Dalvi, and Mrs. Mansi Chodankar.

The app’s advertisement reads: “Download the new app and talk to ‘hot’ and ‘spicy’ girls by paying just ₹1.” This has damaged the dignity and image of Goan women and is publicly promoting obscenity and degrading social values. It is negatively influencing the youth and is a morally serious matter. The app has created a sense of insecurity for the girls and women of Goa.

The delegation stated that this is part of a conspiracy to turn this sacred land of Parshuram into a land of indulgence. The Government has been working to transform Goa’s ‘Sun, Sea & Sand’ identity into that of a spiritual tourism destination, however, the spread of such apps directly obstructs those efforts.

North Goa Superintendent of Police, Harish Madkaikar, informed the Ranragini delegation that he has initiated appropriate action regarding this matter.
