Youth for Panun Kashmir, led by Rahul Kaul, announces ‘Maha Abhiyan Avhan 2026’; calls it the most decisive phase in the decades-long struggle.

Jammu – Even after 35 years, Kashmiri Hindus have not been rehabilitated in their ancestral homeland. Marking the next step in their longstanding struggle, the organisation ‘Youth for Panun Kashmir’ has announced the launch of ‘Maha Abhiyan Avhan 2026’, beginning on 16 January 2026.

Speaking at a press conference in Jammu on 19 November, Shri. Rahul Kaul, Chairman of the Apex Comittee of the organisation stated that this campaign will be the most decisive phase in the decades-long struggle of displaced Kashmiri Hindus.

- Shri. Kaul further said that the Maha Abhiyan Avhan represents the resolute resurgence of people uprooted from their motherland due to genocide, yet spiritually connected to this sacred soil. He asserted that the Government of India must engage with displaced Hindus with seriousness, urgency, and constitutional responsibility.
- The organisation’s President, Vitthal Chaudhary, said that this movement reflects the unity of a community that has kept the flame of struggle alive for over three and a half decades.
- Digambar Raina, General Secretary of ‘Youth for Panun Kashmir’ explained that the movement, beginning from the Jagti Genocide Relief Camp in Jammu, will serve as a collective mobilisation for Hindus from Purkhoo, Muthi, Nagrota, and beyond.
- Secretary Rajesh Kachroo emphasised that the genocide of Hindus cannot be denied, negotiated, or diluted. Recognition of this genocide is essential for ensuring justice, and therefore a concrete and executable plan for the safe rehabilitation of Kashmiri Hindus is required.
- Also present at the press conference were coordinator Sahil Pandita and key representatives of the displaced Hindu camps including Pintu Ji Pandita, Vijay Pandita, Anil Bhan, and Ashwini Bhat.
Clear message to the Government
Youth for Panun Kashmir conveyed that ‘Maha Abhiyan Avhan 2026’ is a direct and firm message to the Government of India: if the long-delayed formal rehabilitation of Kashmiri Hindus in their homeland does not commence immediately, the movement will intensify into more assertive phases in the struggle for justice, dignity, and rightful restoration.
