India is a Hindu nation because 90 percent of its population is Hindu. The state and central governments are strongly Hindutva-oriented. Moving forward, temples and the Hindu community can function without fear. Temples are an integral part of Indian culture and history. When Islamic invaders attacked India, they did not targeted temples instead of individuals or institutions. Since temples were the backbone of India’s strength, these invaders first attacked and destroyed them. However, in the future, temples will play a crucial role in the formation of a Hindu nation. We will create an organization such that no one will look at Hindu temples with a crooked eye, nor will anyone have the courage to think against temples, stated Maharashtra’s Minister of Fisheries and Ports Development and Guardian Minister of Sindhudurg District, Shri Nitesh Rane. He was speaking at the second district-level ‘Maharashtra Mandir Nyas Adhiveshan’ organized by the Maharashtra Mandir Mahasangh and the Hindu Janajagruti Samiti at the Shri Datt Temple hall in Managaon, Kudal, Sindhudurg.

This fight will continue until all temples are freed from government control – Shri Sunil Ghanwat

Secular governments do not provide any funds or assistance to temples, nor do they take any initiatives related to religion. Then, how do they have the right to control temples? These so-called secular politicians cannot bring any mosque or church under government control. Then why is there discrimination only against Hindu temples? This fight will continue until all temples are freed from government control. Additionally, in Sindhudurg district, there are attempts by certain individuals to illegally seize temple lands. The district administration and Guardian Minister Nitesh Rane must intervene and take a firm stance to ensure that temple lands remain with the temples, appealed Shri Sunil Ghanwat, National Organizer of the Mandir Mahasangh.

Government control over temples has created many problems; temples should be centers of worship – Sadguru Satyavan Kadam

Sadguru Satyavan Kadam of Sanatan Sanstha stated that Indian culture is deeply connected to temples. Temples are sources of divine energy for society. However, today we see that government control over temples and corruption within them have created many problems. Therefore, it has become necessary to prevent the attacks on temple culture. Temples are the foundation of Hindu society. They should also function as centers for religious education, and efforts must be made toward this goal. Due to the lack of religious education, our daughters are falling victim to love jihad, and religious conversions are taking place. Temples must conduct Bal Sanskar classes for children, Sanskar classes for teenagers, self-defense training for youth, and spiritual discourses for adults. Temples should become centers of worship.

While introducing the event, Shri Rajendra Patil of the Hindu Janajagruti Samiti stated that temples hold great significance not only in individual lives but also in social life. It is through temples that Hindus establish their religious foundation. Several dignitaries also expressed their views on the occasion. Across the state, there are many pilgrimage sites, ancient temples, historical temples, village deity temples, graha devata temples, and samadhi temples of saints. Each temple faces different challenges. Therefore, during this event, it was decided to work through the Maharashtra Mandir Mahasangh to find solutions for these issues.
