Decision to give all rights for managing Shri Vitthal Mandir should be re-considered ! – HJS

Paush Krushnapaksha 1, Kaliyug Varsha 5115

Government means corruption and inefficiency is an equation. Recently, scam in dealings of Devasthan’s land, ornaments and cows and cattle has been exposed. In such situation, we are afraid that handing over all rights to manage this temple to the Government would increase malpractices in management of temple funds. The Honorable Supreme Court should, therefore, re-consider its decision about handing over charge of the temple to State Government. We are seeking legal advice about whether a petition could be filed in this regard.

Most corrupt Government not fit to render service to Shri Vitthal ! – Sanatan Sanstha

Management of Shri Vitthal Mandir, Pandharpur should be handed over to devotees rendering service to Shri Vitthal rather than handing it over to corrupt Maharashtra Government. It will be more appropriate. One who does not separate  (Vibhakta) himself from God is a devotee (bhakta). Devotees have faith and will render service to God with devotion. Shegaon Devasthan is its example. Whereas if management is handed over to Government, inefficiency and corruption enters; it has been experienced through many examples. Similarly, if offerings made by devotees every day at Pandharpur Devasthan are to be utilized for ‘Deva-karya’, the corrupt Government is not competent to do it.

There will be sea-change in management of temple ! – Shri Vitthal Rukmini Mandir Samiti

Management of temple at Pandharpur will require total change owing the Court verdict. It has given opportunity to let people have proper ‘darshan’ that will satisfy all devotees.

In secular country, is it lawful to take over temples belonging to only one religion ? – V N Utpat

We want to ask that is it lawful in a secular country to take over temples belonging to only one religion ? Under Muslim and British regimes, our rights were intact; it is our grief that under our own rule, such rights have been adversely affected. (Shri. V N Utpat is a representative of ‘Utpats’ in Shri Vitthal Rukmini Mandir Committee)
