Aamir Khan and Kiara Advani insult Hindu tradition in AU Finance Bank advertisement

Kiara Advani and Aamir Khan recently collaborated for the first time over a bank commercial but it has not gone well with the netizens. The ad commercial is getting massively trolled on social media sites for allegedly hurting Hindu sentiments.

Netizens are questioning why always Hindu traditions are made subject to such commercials and not any other religion ever comes in the picture.

Why is the idea of 'changing Hindu rituals & customs' always the base for these ads?

Amir Khan has a history of insulting Hindu sentiments, he hasn't learned anything from the boycott of his movies…

The @aubankindia has no authority to modify Hindu traditions, instead, it should mind its own business.

The commercial in question is for AU Small Finance Bank which features Aamir and Kiara Advani as the newlyweds travelling back from their wedding in a car. The two also discuss how none of them cried for their bidaai before they reach their house.

The ad moves forward revealing that Aamir Khan has moved to the bride’s house to help her in taking care of her ailing father contrary to the usual practice. He was also seen taking the first step in their new house, as opposed to the tradition of the bride doing so.

The superstar then appears in a bank and says in Hindi, “Why should traditions that have continued for centuries continue to do so? That’s why we question every banking tradition. So that you get the best service.”

The Kashmir Files director wrote, “I just fail to understand since when banks have become responsible for changing social & religious traditions? I think @aubankindia should do activism by changing the corrupt banking system. Aisi bakwaas karte hain fir kehte hain Hindus are trolling. Idiots.”

Aamir and Kiara’s TV commercial for a bank is being trolled on social media for allegedly hurting Hindu sentiments. Questions being asked why only Hinduism is selected for such advertisements, and if ad makers dare to make such ads considering Nikaah etc.

One twitter user wrote, ” Does #AUsmallfinancebank endorse the intrinsic hatred of aamir khan towards the Hindus?” Another wrote, ” Boycott their product also boycott au small finance bank.” Very disappointed to note that you have taken an #antinational like #amirkhan as your brand ambassador . We will have no choice but to #boycottausmallfinancebank.”
