Nala Sopara : Self-defence means protection of self. Family, home, residential colony, village, society, nation and Dharma are required for existence of self, along with physical body. When all these are protected, we are protected in true sense. Youth should give emphasis on increasing physical strength, keeping expansive goal of welfare of people, rather than for just body building. We must learn self-defence for protection of God, nation and Dharma, said Shri. Hemant Pujare of Hindu Janajagruti Samiti (HJS). 25 people were present on the occasion including 18 youth members. ‘Shaurya-jagaran (awakening of valour)’ drive was recently undertaken at Sant Dnyaneshwar Mauli Housing Society, Nala Sopara (East) wherein demos were staged on self-defence. Local children participated in the drive. Self-defence technique using karate, sticks, chains etc was shown. ‘Dharma-shikshan’ class has been started at this place from 28th April.
