A Pakistani woman arrested for traveling to USA on a fake passport

Mumbai : Officers of Crime Detection branch arrested Asha Ramesh Parikh alias Yasmeen Ali Aziz, a Pakistani woman planning to go to USA on a fake passport. Police are trying to find out if Yasmen Ali Aziz hailing from Karachi, has links with terrorists organizations. The day before the Yesterday Yasmeen went to the Chhatrapati Shivaji International Airport with her 13 year old son Sahil. On checking her baggage, the Customs Officers found four passports on her including those of India and Pakistan. On enquiry, she refused to say anything in the matter.

Therefore, she was handed over to the Crime Branch for further interrogation. In
the interrogation, it has been found that the woman is a resident of Karachi. On 27th May 2006, she came to Mumbai along with her son and stayed with her mother in Srushti
Complex, Navyuvan Society, Mira Road. Yesterday she was nabbed when she was about to leave for USA. The police have confiscated two Indian passports, two Pakistani passports, two air tickets and proof of her being a citizen of Pakistan. Police are investigating further
about her husband’s employment, from where she got so many passports etc.
