Police are crossing their limits by asking for a daily report from Mosques

Kolhapur : Shri Dilip Jadhav, Police Inspector from Laksmipuri Police Station has issued an order that the Imams should give a daily report at the police station that there are no objectionable things and weapons in the mosques. Hussain Jamadar from Muslim Satyashodhak Mandal has stated that passing of such order shows bias and is an insult of Muslim community. Police may have powers to pass such order but still it is crossing the limit of their duties.

Haji Mohammad Ghouse said that the Government has a right to check any place of worship; but asking for a report everyday is like treating Muslims as criminals. He further stated that after the bomb blasts on 11th July, officials in the State Govt. and especially the police force have developed prejudice against Muslims.
