Hindu Activists foil attempt of conversion of Hindus by Christian Missionaries, in the name of Mass Prayer.

In Rajatsagar Mangal Karyalay at Satara, a Mass Prayer programme was organised by Adv. Rave Pasteur and Dr. Pillay for betterment of masses. People present for the Mass prayer were approx 500, most of them being Hindus below poverty line and around 50 converted Hindus. This programme was a ploy to convert the 500 Hindus. Some Hindu activists were also present in the programme.
Throughout the programme, Hindu Aartis and Prarthanas were said in the tune of Film Songs. In between it would be announced that Jesus is the only true God. He will free you from all suffering.

Dr Aamolik from Pune who was the chief speaker told various stories of how people had been miraculously cured of ailments like Cancer and improved their health. He also jokingly remarked on a Hindi sentence from Geetasagar(one of the Hindu Religious explanations of the Bhagavad Geeta) , "There is a saying, Samy se Pehle aur Bhagya se Adhik kisi ko kuch praapt nahi hota (meaning: One never gets anything before the destined hour arrives and more than what is in one’s destiny). I really cannot help laughing at this sentence".

To this, one of the Hindu Activists objected saying that the above words had hurt his Religious Sentiments. He also asked the speaker to refrain from criticising or abusing Hindu Scriptures, deities and Rituals. To this some Christian activists who were present tried to push away the Hindu Activist, who was then supported by other Hindu activists. Together, they shouted slogans in protest, due to which the programme had to be cancelled and the attempt of conversion was foiled.
