Shri. Murali Manohar Sharma, General Secretary, Bharat Raksha Manch, Odisha said,

1. Conspiracy is being hatched to destroy River Vaitarana which has originated from Bhagavan Mahadev. River Vaitarana is known as ‘Paapnashini (washing off sins)’. Life of 40 lakh people is dependent on River Vaitarana. 10 lakh farmers are dependent on its water for farming; but to eradicate religious sentiments of Hindus, its water is given to many foreign companies and citizens are not getting enough water. The only reason is the foreign companies set up there ! Mines are destroying water streams; their flow has been reduced; jungles have been destroyed.

2. Earlier, foreign companies were provided water through tankers; now, it is given through pipes; therefore, these foreign companies are earning profits of Rs. 835 crores every year which is sent outside India. We, therefore, started movement to save Vaitarana. Those, who are dependent on its water for drinking; or earning money with its use, did not take part in this agitation. Then, we expanded the agitation and included Saints and Seers in our agitations and demonstrations. False cases were filed against us; but we did not waver from our decision. We ‘gheraoed’ District Collector on this issue. Now the ‘Green Tribunal’ has passed stay order in this case. We will get victory in future with the grace of Srikrushna.
