Fake news : HJS workers target Hussain’s paintings

Misreporting by NDTV! It was the Swabhimaan Manch and not Hindu Janjagruti Samiti that was responsible for attacking MF Husain’s art Gallery. All protests of Hindu Janjagruti Samiti are always peaceful and with due compliance with the legal methods.

Monday, February 13, 2006 (Ahmedabad):

A group of people claiming to represent the Hindu Jagran Sanshtha went on a rampage at the Hussain-Doshi Ni Gumfa on Monday.

Paintings of MF Hussain and other leading painters have been kept on permanent display here.

Though the protestors could not damage the paintings, they broke furniture, windowpanes and doors while trying to enter the exhibition hall.

A police case has been registered at the Navrangpura police station in Ahmedabad.
