Railway Security Force, Police and Administration turn blind eye

Thane – Muslims have built an unauthorised structure on the open space between the railway tracks near the railway tunnel in Kalyan. This unauthorised structure has been given a religious colour and every year on March 27, a grand urus is celebrated here. Interestingly, these programs are going on here without any kind of permission. Even though Hindus have been demanding action against this unauthorised construction since 2017, the Railway Security Force, Police and Railway Administration have turned a blind eye.
Citizens are expressing their anger about this lax attitude of the administration. Citizens say that there are people selling narcotic substances in the premises of this unauthorised structure and there was a also a theft related murder here 4 years ago. This structure has raised a law and order issue.
According to the information received in the year 2015 in the Right to Information, the structure (mazar) on the railway site is said to be unauthorised. Also, the administration has said that no program is allowed here; But despite this, Urus is performed at this place on 27th March every year. More than 300 to 400 people gather at this place. Concerned citizens have demanded that the administration pay serious attention to this encroachment and evict this unauthorised structure as soon as possible.
Some years ago, a chadar was laid on a stone here. Later, this structure was given a religious form and a room was built around it. Locals are saying that “the area around this room is being occupied gradually”. The movement of Muslims has increased here and Hindus are expressing their regret that no action is being taken by the railway administration and the police.
Act against the unauthorised mazar at Kalyan, otherwise we will build a Ram temple in that place! – MNS activists
Thane – MNS activists in Kalyan have demanded action against the unauthorised mazar in Kalyan (West) or that a Ram temple will be built there. After Raj Thackeray’s speech at Shivaji Park, MNS workers in Kalyan have become aggressive on the issue.

Ashok Shinde owns land in Shinde Mala area of Lalchowki area of Kalyan. The fanatics encroached on this land and built a grave and spread a chadar over that. Land owner Shinde said that he has corresponded with the Municipal Corporation to act against this encroachment. Now the MNS has also taken an aggressive stance regarding this and MNS branch president Mahesh Bankar has given a memorandum to the Kalyan-Dombivli Municipal Corporation. MNS has warned that if action is not taken against this unauthorised tomb, a Ram Mandir will be built at this place. This has increased the tension in the area while speculation is high as to what action will be undertaken.
