Malali Mosque verdict: VHP welcomes court’s order, Police tighten vigilence

Mangaluru: Vishwa Hindu Parishad (VHP) has welcomed the local court’s verdict rejecting the maintainability of the original suit of the Malali Mosque case on Wednesday.

Talking to the media here on Wednesday, VHP leader Sharan Pumpwell called the Mosque committee for an amicable resolution of the matter through talks. “Otherwise, the legal battle shall continue. We will build a temple there,” he said.

“We have submitted all required documents to the courts. We are hopeful that the final verdict will be in our favour,” he added.

Police Bandobast

Meanwhile, police have tightened security after the verdict. “In order to ensure no untoward incident KSRP CAR and bandobast at the level of ACP is done. DCP law and order will be visiting the Malali to supervise bandobast,” City police commissioner N Shashi Kumar said.
