RSS worker attacked in Malur; Accused Syed Waseem held

Kolar: Members of Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS) and Vishva Hindu Parishad (VHP) staged a demonstration in Malur on Saturday seeking the arrest of a person who attacked an RSS functionary.

The injured person is Ravi, president of the Malur unit of VHP and organising secretary of the RSS district unit. Trouble fomented around 3.30pm near Marikambha temple where Ravi runs a fancy shop. Syed Waseem and another person were engaged in a clash following a case of road rage. When Ravi intervened, Waseem allegedly abused him verbally and attacked him with a knife. Ravi lodged a complaint with Malur police, who immediately arrested Waseem.
