Bhoomi Poojan ritual of Ram Mandir in Ayodhya is a matter of pride, happiness and devotion for devout Hindus, as we were waiting for this moment from last so many years. As per some media reports, it has been observed that some Muslims are being associated with the above mentioned function.
H. H. (Adv.) Hari Shankar Jain, an advocate who have fought Ram Janmabhoomi case for Hindu Mahasabha from 1990s, has objected to this idea, which might have been aimed to ‘promote so-called secularism’ in India. He has written letter to the Trustees of Shri Ram Janmabhoomi Tirtha Kshetra Trust and have urged them to cancel the proposal, if any, to allow Muslims or non-Hindus to be present or take part in the Bhoomi Pujan fuction.
H. H. (Adv.) Hari Shankar Jain has also stated that “from print, electronic and social media reports we have come to
know that some muslims have been invited to attend the function on 05.08.2020. However, no list of invitees have been declared so far by the Trust. We and Hindus in general are astonished to imagine that Muslims may be allowed to participate in the function on 05.08.2020. It may be mentioned here that there is provision in the Trust deed itself that there will be no Muslim in the management of the Trust. The intention is clear that Muslims cannot be allowed to take any part in religious functions of Hindus. It may be mentioned here that in several temples in India and abroad there is provision prohibiting non Hindus to enter into the premises. In Mecca-Medina and at several places Hindus are not allowed to enter.”
He further said that “The Trust is under Constitutional obligation to honour Hindu sentiments, belief, faith protected by Article 25 of the Constitution and to follow Hindu scriptures in letters and sprits while managing Shri Ram Janambhoomi Trust Area. The sacred place of Shri Ram Janambhoomi cannot be utilized to promote secularism.”
He urged the Trustees as “Therefore, we request very humbly with folded hands to the Trust to honor the sentiments, belief and faiths of the crores of Hindus and to cancel proposal, if any, to allow any Muslim or non Hindu to be present or take part in Bhoomi Pujan function for construction of Shree Ram Temple to be held on 05.08.2020 at Ayodhya.”
