Thane (Maharashtra): Dharmashakti Sena celebrated Martyr Day of Bajiprabhu Deshpande at Thane at the branch of Shiv Sena in Chiragnagar area. The program began with garlanding a picture of Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj by Mr. Prahlad Desai, a devout Hindu and garlanding a picture of Bajiprabhu Deshpande by Mr. Prasad Raut. Mr. Manik Patil and Rupesh Gaikwad offered flowers to the pictures. Mr. Prashant Surve recited the shloka of ‘Dharmachya Karita amhas jagati ……….’ explaining brave story of Bajiprabhu, how he fought at Ghodkhind and sanctified it as ‘Pavankhind’. He also explained why one should follow ‘Dharmacharan’ and about various activities undertaken by Hindu Janajagruti Samiti (HJS) and Dharmashkati Sena. 

Mr. Abhijit Bhojane of Dharmashakti Sena talked about the present condition of Nation and Dharma and touched upon topics like corruption, proposed anti-superstitions Act, Government’s taking over management of temples, proposed Act on communal and targeted violence, conversion of Hindus making people aware about the various dangers posed before Nation and Dharma and stated that Hindu unity was the solution on these problems.  

In the end, Mr. Pratap Rajaram Surve, the branch-chief of Shiv Sena for Chiragnagar commended HJS activities and assured to join the activities including its drive to stop insult of National Flag 4 days prior to the Independence Day. 60 youth members attended the program.

Highlights

  1. Mr. Umesh Patil, a local citizen was inspired after the guidance and explained the importance of Hindu unity to the members of audience.
  2. Slogans acclaiming Shivaji Maharaj resonated in the atmosphere
  3. All participants resolved to successfully carry out the drive on 15th August.
  4. Shiv Sena branch-chief Mr. Surve attended the program despite his wife being unwell and in the hospital.
