Panaji (Goa): Bharatiya Bhasha Suraksha Mandal on Thursday unveiled Yuva Shakti (YS) units, comprising young artists, writers and others, to hold protests against the medium of instruction (MoI) policy.
North Goa Yuva Shakti unit convenor, Pravin Phaldesai, said, "We will have programmes like street plays in every college. Besides, we will encourage students to indulge in mass bunking." He also disclosed plans to ‘gherao’ ministers who supported the government’s MoI decision.
YS has planned a meeting at the Azad Bhavan, Porvorim, on July 22 at 3 pm. Rajendra Subhash Velingkar, state coordinator of YS, said "so far 40-45 units have been activated.”
