UDUPI: Yoga guru Baba Ramdev, on the first day of his 5-day yoga camp in Udupi, said all the problems in the world today can be solved through yoga, which has its roots in India.
“Yoga offers cures for all lifestyle diseases. Dhyana and meditation help to treat diseases without medicine and surgeries. My life is the best example for yoga’s advantages.”
He was addressing the shibir which was being held at Car Street at the parking area of Krishna Mutt on Saturday. “All human beings have Ravaan and Kans in them, which are personalities that are formed based on the quality of desire. We should overcome them.”
People in Udupi participated in the shibir in large numbers. On the first day, it was inaugurated by Baba Ramdev and the Palimaru seer. Children, youth and the aged performed yoga from 5 am to 7.30 am.
Palimaru seer Vidyadeesha Theertha put the Yakshagana crown of Badaguthittu and felicitated Baba Ramdev. The seer said that yoga is above religion, caste and gender.
