Professor compelled to resign for anti-Hindu act

Pune: In the last month, Prof. Markad from Hutatma Rajguru College at Khed in Pune district had pasted posters all over the village. The posters contained matters that were anti-religion. He had expressed doubts about Saint Dnyaneshwar making a wall walk and make a bull say ‘Vedas’, Saint Namdeo sharing his meal with Lord Vitthal, Saint Tukaram going to ‘Vaikuntha (the abode of Lord Vishnu)’ with his gross body, Sree Krushna lifting Govardhan mountain on His little finger etc.

The workers of Indian Students’ Union along with workers of other political parties like Shiv Sena, had therefore, gone to his college and held demonstrations and demanded his suspension. A police complaint was also lodged in this regard. Prof. Markad finally submitted his resignation. A rumour was doing the rounds about his shifting to another place.

A local advocate Chandrakant Sandbhor felt that nobody from that place should take up Prof. Markad’s case. He, therefore, expressed his views in the meeting of Bar Association and it was decided that no local advocate would fight for him. Prof. Markad had to get a pleader from outside.

(To know the science behind the miracles performed by Saints one should practice spirituality. Saints practice spirituality and they working for upliftment of the society and protection of righteousness. God works miracles through them to make the society aware about faith and their importance. Saints like Dnyaneshwar Maharaj, Namdev Maharaj, Tukaram Maharaj were evolved beings of the highest order and miracles happened through their presence. They didn’t have to perform miracles. To doubt the credibility of such miracles and saints is akin to a child who disbelieves he has come out of his mothers’ womb. To experience these miracles one should have full faith on God and strong desire to reach Him. People who try to knowingly/unknowingly break such faith should be condemned in unequivocal terms.

Congratulations to the Advocates who refused to take case of an anti-Hindu Professor. These Advocates are the real strength of Hindu Dharma. Other Hindu Advocates are expected to do the same. – Editor)
