Great national leaders should be referred to with due respect, demand patriots

Demand by patriotic citizens during demonstrations held under RHA at Akola

Akola : Maharana Pratap has not been mentioned with due respect in ‘History and Civics’ text book of 7th standard published by Bal Bharati. Hindu kings are insulted while Mughal invaders are glorified due to the influence of secularists in this country which is unpardonable. Hindus will never tolerate such things. Insult of our great national leaders means disloyalty towards history and betrayal with the country; therefore, action should be taken against persons responsible for making wrong reference to Maharana Pratap and such reference should be removed from the text books immediately while carrying out necessary changes, was the demand made by Kum. Nidhi Bais, District Coordinator of Hindu Janajagruti Samiti (HJS) during demonstrations staged under aegis of ‘Rashtriya Hindu Andolan (RHA)’ at Akola on 28th July. Many devout and patriotic citizens joined the demonstrations including Shri. Ajay Khot, Shri. Ramcharan Bais, Shri. Girish Kulkarni, Shubhangi Kulkarni, Shri. Ajinkya Khursude etc.

The other demands made during demonstrations were to take stringent action against fanatics for brutal attack on ‘Gou-rakshaks’; to impose ban on film ‘Lal Kaptan’ for insulting Naga Sadhus who fight bravely for protection of Hindu Dharma and to immediately withdraw cases filed against advocate Sanjiv Punalekar in connection with murder case of Dr. Dabholkar.
