Panhala (Dist. Kolhapur) : On 1st July, Hindu Janajagruti Samiti (HJS) gave information about unjust arrest of advocate Sanjiv Punalekar, national Secretary of ‘Hindu Vidhidnya Parishad (HVP)’ to advocates from Bar Association. Shri. Prasad Kulkarni of HJS explained activities undertaken by HVP and said that the arrest of advocate Punalekar was breach of right of advocates. He also made an appeal to participating advocates to firmly stand in support of advocate Punalekar.
Advocate Abasaheb Patil, the President of Bar Association commended activities of HVP and extended best wishes for future. Advocate S. S. Khot, Secretary of Bar Association said that advocates would discuss the matter related to arrests of advocate Punalekar and other advocates in the Bar Association. 18 advocates, including advocates viz. Abhijit Bachhe, Sopan Patil, Mahajan etc and Shri. Aditya Shastri of HJS were present on the occasion.
