More than 170 advocates extend support to resolution opposing the arrest

Akola : On 17th June, a resolution was passed on behalf of Akola Bar Association condemning arrest of advocate Sanjiv Punalekar, the national Secretary of ‘Hindu Vidhidnya Parishad’. The representation submitted in this regard was signed by more than 170 advocates.  Advocate Pappu Morwal and advocate M. L. Shah, the President of ‘Akola Bar Association’ extended special cooperation for this drive.

Resolution condemning murders of advocate Darvesh Yadav, President of Uttar Pradesh Bar Council and advocate Rajesh Kambale from Solapur was also passed on the occasion.

Dissent expressed against arrest of advocate Sanjiv Punalekar by Vadgaon Mawal (Dist. Pune) Bar Association

Vadgaon Mawal (Dist. Pune) : Conversation between advocate and his client cannot be treated as a crime and such conversation can never be proved in Court. Even then, Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) has arrested advocate Sanjiv Punalekar, national Secretary of ‘Hindu Vidhidnya Parishad’ doing injustice to legal practitioners, was the stand taken by Vadgaon Mawal Bar Association, passing resolution on 18th June against arrest of advocate Punalekar. Demand was also made through the resolution to provide protection to legal practitioners. The resolution has been passed by about 50 advocates opposing arrest.
