Release Adv. Punalekar and conduct inquiry into CBI, demand Rajasthan advocates

Representation submitted by ‘Rajasthan High Court Bar Association’ and ‘the District Bar Association, Jaipur’ to ‘Rajasthan Bar Council’ and ‘Bar Council of India’

Jaipur : Advocate Sanjiv Punalekar, national Secretary of ‘Hindu Vidhidnya Parishad’ has been unjustly arrested in connection with Dr. Dabholkar’s murder case and advocates and devout Hindu activists from all over the country have been expressing their anger over the same. ‘Rajasthan High Court Bar Association’, Jaipur and ‘the District Bar Association’ have also opposed this move. On 7th June, Shri. Chiranjilal Saini, the President of ‘Rajasthan Bar Council’ was handed over representation in the name of Secretary ‘Rajasthan Bar Council’ and Secretary, ‘Bar Council of India’ demanding immediate release of advocate Punalekar and conduct inquiry into CBI.

1. President Anil Upman of ‘Rajasthan High Court Bar Association (RHCBA)’ condemned the arrest of advocate Sanjiv Punalekar. Advocate Rajesh Karnal, President of ‘the District Bar Association’ said that attacks on advocates’ rights would not be tolerated.

2. The other advocates present while submitting such representation were Bhuvanesh Sharma (Bar Council of Rajsthan), D. S. Kurka (Vice President, RHCBA), Sangita Sharma (General Secretary, RHCBA), Mahendra Shandilya (former General Secretary of RHCBA), Ashok Kasera (Executive member, RHCBA), Suman Sharma (Executive member, RHCBA), Deepesh Sharma, Suresh Gurjar, Abhayraj Singh, Bhupendra Jain, Tejsingh Gurjar and  Shri. Kartar Singh.
