Release Adv. Punalekar immediately, demands Tamil Nadu Shiv Sena

Chennai : Advocate Sanjiv Punalekar of Mumbai High Court should be immediately released was the demand made by Tamil Nadu Shiv Sena through a representation sent to CBI’s Director. Advocate Punalekar has been arrested on the basis of so-called admission by Sharad Kalaskar, an accused in Dr. Dabholkar’s murder case though advocate Punalekar has been fighting against this case in Court. It is an open breach of law. Copies of this representation have been sent to Prime Minister, Chief Minister of Tamil Nadu and Secretary, Home Ministry, Union Government.

It has been stated in the representation that advocate Sanjiv Punalekar is a patriotic and staunch pro-Hindu advocate. Many devout Hindu activists were implicated in false cases during Congress regime and he fought legal battles for them. Everyone feels that arrest of advocate Punalekar is a conspiracy. Union Government should intervene in this matter and provide protection to patriotic devout Hindu advocates. Few anti-Hindu forces are trying to throttle voice of ‘Hindutva’. It is condemnable. We are, however, sure that truth would ultimately prevail.
